This is a custom house with an unusual program in that it is a small vacation house that also houses a large car and motorcycle collection.  There was also the desire to drive through the garage such that one could take out cars without moving to many of the others.

 

This site also afforded great views of Lake Chelan if the house was located just right.

 

The design takes advantage of the sloping site by stepping the structure up the hill at two levels at the garage level, with the vacation house above.

 

The program called for no columns in the garage, so steel was incorporated to handle the spans.

 

Low maintenance materials are incorporated on the outside with metal roof and cement (stucco ) siding with tile accents.
